Stumbled across this gem on our way back home to Northern Michigan. We were very pleased with the aesthetics of the old train station, built in the late 1800s... It still has good bones, but that's not all. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. We were lucky enough to strike up a conversation with the owner, who offered some insight to its past. The three of us each had different dishes, all of which were delicious! I wish one of these kinds of restaurants were in my hometown!

Trainwreck is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious. Especially the appetizers. Try the crab dip or runaway fries. The burger and other hot sandwiches are good. The fettuccine alfredo was the only thing I would say tasted a little bland.

What an interesting location! The apple butter porkchops were to die for!! The sangria was really great too. They had a handfulof decent craft beers on tap too. The character of the establishment is something to come back for. If you have time to check out the upstairs, it's really neat. Each table is enclosed on 3 sides and it's open-space with high ceilings so you feel like you have privacy while still being included in the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. Very neat space!

My husband and I went to dinner there on a Wednesday night. We were in town for the Grand Design RV Rally at the Fairgrounds. There was no wait. The atmosphere is interesting...in an historic railroad depot. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive even though she was quite busy. The food was excellent!!! I had the shrimp meal (cannot recall the name on the menu) and my husband had the Trainwreck Chicken. Both were sooo delicious!!! We will definitely go again next time we are in the area.

Great spot - slightly off the main drag - worth the trip. We got cheese cubes and the Mac and cheese with chicken. All was hot and flavorful.
